Adventurers Course - Gear List

Here’s a list of gear required for the 3-day Fundamentals camp based on a typical Packing List. This gear ensures participants are prepared for outdoor activities, survival training, and general camp requirements.

Clothing:

  1. T-Shirts (3, moisture-wicking if possible)

  2. Long-Sleeve Shirts (1-2, for cooler weather or sun protection)

  3. Trousers or Shorts (durable, 2 pairs)

  4. Underwear (3 pairs)

  5. Socks (3 pairs, wool or synthetic for hiking)

  6. Jacket or Windbreaker (lightweight, waterproof)

  7. Hat (sun protection, wide-brim or cap)

  8. Rain Gear (jacket and pants)

  9. Fleece or Sweater (for warmth)

  10. Sleepwear (appropriate for the weather)

  11. Comfortable Hiking Boots (well broken-in)

  12. Sandals or Camp Shoes (optional for around camp)

Sleeping Gear:

  1. Sleeping Bag (rated for the expected weather conditions)

  2. Sleeping Pad or Ground Mat (for insulation and comfort)

  3. Pillow (small, packable, or inflatable)

  4. Bivvy Bag or Hoochie (optional for light shelter)

Camping Equipment:

  1. Backpack (large enough to carry gear for 3 days)

  2. Daypack (for short hikes and activities)

  3. Tent or Shelter (lightweight, weather-appropriate)

  4. Groundsheet (for under the tent)

  5. Multi-tool or Knife

  6. Headlamp or Torch (with extra batteries)

  7. Water Bottle or Hydration Pack (at least 1.5L)

  8. Mess Kit (plate, cup, bowl, and utensils)

  9. Camp Stove (optional, if allowed) and fuel

  10. Fire Starting Kit (matches, lighter, or firesteel)

  11. Trash Bags (for keeping camp clean)

Personal Items:

  1. Personal Hygiene Kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.)

  2. Towel (quick-drying, compact)

  3. Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)

  4. Insect Repellent (non-aerosol preferred)

  5. Lip Balm (with SPF)

  6. Small First Aid Kit (personal, with basic items like bandages)

  7. Medications (personal, enough for 3 days)

Food & Cooking:

  1. Food for 3 Days (pre-packed, non-perishable)

  2. Snacks (trail mix, granola bars, etc.)

  3. Camp Cooking Equipment (small stove, pots/pans, if cooking)

  4. Water Purification Tablets or Filter

  5. Bear Bag or Canister (if in wildlife areas)

Navigation & Field Gear:

  1. Compass

  2. Map (of the area, waterproof if possible)

  3. Whistle (for emergencies)

  4. Notebook and Pen (field notes, waterproof if possible)

  5. Binoculars (optional)

  6. Paracord or Rope (multi-use)

  7. Duct Tape (small roll for repairs)

Optional Extras:

  1. Chair or Camp Stool

  2. Tarp (for shelter or additional rain protection)

  3. Bandana or Buff (multi-use for sun, dust, or sweat)

  4. Book or Journal
