Alone Survivor Course

Cost: $750 per participant

Overview: The Alone Survivor Challenge is an intense, immersive experience designed to push participants physically and mentally. Over the course of several days, participants will face a series of survival tasks that test their bushcraft skills, problem-solving abilities, and mental resilience.

 

Participants must complete tasks to earn food drops, ensuring they remain resourceful, adaptive, and self-reliant. This course is not for the faint-hearted, and is designed to mirror real-world survival challenges.

Day 1: Orientation & Initial Survival Setup

  • Introduction to Survival

    • Overview of the challenge, rules, and expectations.

    • Briefing on safety and emergency protocols.

  • Task 1: Shelter Construction

    • Build a shelter using only the materials available in the natural environment.

    • Earn a food drop for successful shelter completion before nightfall.

  • Skill: Shelter Building

    • Learn various techniques for creating weather-resistant shelters.

    • Focus on insulation, structural integrity, and location selection.

Day 2: Water & Fire Mastery

  • Task 2: Water Purification

    • Locate a water source and purify enough water to last the day using different methods (filtration, boiling, etc.).

    • Earn a food drop for successfully purifying and securing safe drinking water.

  • Skill: Water Sourcing & Purification

    • Techniques for identifying safe water sources.

    • Methods for filtering and purifying water.

  • Task 3: Fire Creation

    • Use natural materials to build and sustain a fire without modern tools.

    • Earn additional food supplies by successfully igniting a fire under wet or challenging conditions.

  • Skill: Fire Making Techniques

    • Friction fire starting, using fire steel, and mastering tinder selection.

    • Tips for maintaining a fire in adverse conditions.

Day 3: Foraging, Trapping, and Basic First Aid

  • Task 4: Foraging and Identifying Edible Plants

    • Navigate the area to forage for food while identifying safe and nutritious plants.

    • Earn a food drop by correctly identifying and gathering enough wild edibles.

  • Skill: Foraging & Edible Plant Identification

    • Learn to distinguish edible plants from harmful ones.

    • Techniques for maximizing nutrition from foraged materials.

  • Task 5: Basic Trapping

    • Set up simple traps to catch small game or fish.

    • Earn a food drop by successfully trapping a source of protein.

  • Skill: Basic Trapping & Fishing Techniques

    • Setting snares, deadfall traps, and improvising fishing tools.

    • Ethical and sustainable practices for trapping and fishing.

  • Task 6: First Aid in the Wild

    • Treat a simulated injury or illness using available natural materials and basic first aid knowledge.

    • Earn extra rations by demonstrating proper care for wounds, bites, or burns.

  • Skill: Bushcraft First Aid

    • Improvised first aid techniques.

    • Treating common wilderness injuries and illnesses with minimal equipment.
       

Day 4: Navigation, Problem Solving & Final Challenge

  • Task 7: Navigational Challenge

    • Use natural navigation techniques and basic tools like compasses or the sun to reach specific coordinates.

    • Earn a food drop by successfully completing the navigation task within the set time.

  • Skill: Wilderness Navigation

    • Reading the land, using compasses, and following natural clues (sun, stars, landmarks) to navigate unfamiliar terrain.

  • Final Challenge: Survival Test

    • Combining all learned skills, participants face a final challenge where they must survive 24 hours using limited resources, completing a series of smaller tasks (fire, water, food) without direct assistance.

    • Successful completion of the final challenge will result in the final food drop and course certification.
       

Day 5: Debrief and Reflection

  • Group Debrief

    • Reflect on the emotional and physical challenges faced during the course.

    • Discuss lessons learned and how participants can apply the resilience and problem-solving skills to their everyday lives.

  • Graduation & Final Thoughts

    • Award certificates for completing the Alone Survivor Challenge.

    • Share personal experiences and breakthroughs.
