  • What is Everyday Bushcraft?
    Everyday Bushcraft is a group of structured courses designed to help people learn about how to survive in the Australian bush and relate these core skills to surviving in every day life. The importance of these teachings extends well beyond the camping trip into the future lives of every participant. We are very proud of our course offerings and can't wait to see you at one of our next events!
  • What are the accepted payment methods?
    Currently, we use Eventbrite to facilitate all ticketed events. To purchase tickets, head to our Bookings page or Eventbrite site.
  • Are there any discounts or promotions available?
    Yes! From time to time, we will use different promo codes for participants to use for cheaper tickets and items available on our store. Our standard promo code that is available for all first time attendees is DINGO. This is a one time use 5% off promo code. Refer our services to a friend who successfully joins our program to gain a further 10% off!
  • What do I need to bring?
    When attending one of our courses, its important to bring as much of the following as applies to you. Tent for 1st night and bail out option (if you decide not to sleep in your improvised shelter - we recommend you do though) Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, bivvy bag (if you have one) Clothes appropriate for forecast weather (changes x 2) Toiletries inc soap, and towel Water bottle Day pack Large plastic bin liner x 2 (various uses on course) per person Plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork, spoon Hat Sunscreen insect repellent Personal medication Packet of baby wipes (for field lesson) Adults may also bring a multi tool or pocket knife, only to be used in appropriate classes. Food for 2 x Breakfasts, 2 x Lunches and Saturday Dinner. Snacks are optional, please no nuts as other participants may have nut allergies.
  • What do you supply at your events?
    While participants are required to bring their own food and drinks during the trip, Everyday Bushcraft supports you by providing cookware and facilities (such as stovetops & burners) as well as extra tools for setting up shelter in case you forget yours. At every camp site, there are toilet facilities nearby as well as medical equipment and trained staff to aid in case of unlikely emergencies.
  • What self-aid and emotional skills are taught at the Fundamentals course?
    Participants learn basic self-aid techniques for minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, and blisters. Additionally, they are guided on how to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional well-being while in the wilderness.
  • What types of knots are taught during the fundamentals bushcraft skills camp?
    The fundamentals course covers essential knots for outdoor survival, including the square knot, clove hitch, taut-line hitch, and bowline. These knots are crucial for shelter building, securing gear, and other tasks in the wilderness.
  • What shelter-building techniques are taught in the fundamentals bushcraft skills camp?
    Participants learn how to construct basic shelters using natural materials such as branches, leaves, and tarps. Techniques include lean-to shelters, debris shelters, and improvised structures to protect against the elements.
  • How are participants taught to make fire during the fundamentals bushcraft skills camp?
    The course covers various methods of fire starting, including friction-based methods like bow drill and hand drill, as well as using flint and steel, and fire starters. Participants also learn fire safety principles and how to sustain a fire for warmth and cooking.
  • What water purification methods are taught in the fundamentals bushcraft skills camp?
    Participants learn how to source water from natural bodies such as streams and rivers and purify it using techniques such as boiling, chemical purification, and filtration. Emphasis is placed on the importance of clean water for hydration and hygiene in the wilderness.
